This 5 day training is the pre-requisite for all other CRM trainings. There are four components to this training:
- CRM Case conceptualization and specific neurobiological interventions that create robust brain and body-based safety as a framework for trauma processing in sessions and personal agency between sessions
- The art of applying the concepts and skills in the most effective and attuned way particularly for Complex PTSD although the model is effective for most psychiatric diagnoses
- Teaching and inspiring therapists to expand their sophistication, confidence and competence in working with the nuances and intuition in healing others rather than simply applying protocols
- Providing the opportunity for therapists to apply CRM processing for their own deep healing which enhances their ability to attune to the more complex needs of their clients
The learning process includes didactic teaching, demonstrations and experiential practicums.
CRM Trainings are intended exclusively for professionals who are trained, licensed mental health professionals (i.e. counsellors, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, etc.). By signing up for the training, you will confirm that this is applicable to you. If you are currently a student and interested in attending a CRM training you will be welcome to join us upon receiving your license to practice but no active students are qualified to attend a CRM training.
Learning Objectives
1. Define the elements of the phenomenology of CRM
2. Describe the clinical case conceptualization and neurobiology of CRM
3. Summarize the CRM conceptualization and practice of phased-based treatment (i.e.,
stabilization, processing and integration)
4. Formulate comprehensive case conceptualization for various diagnostic categories
5. Identify and implement CRM treatment within the framework of the neurobiology of
trauma
6. Differentiate between neurobiology and practice of Resourcing in CRM versus use of
Resourcing in other psychotherapeutic treatment modalities
7. Describe the neurobiology and practice of emotional memory re-consolidation
8. Formulate the Neurobiology of the CRM Resource Scaffolds
9. Compare and Contrast the Neurobiology of Attachment disruption versus secure
attachment and requirements for integrated attachment healing
10. Practice clinical applications of internally sourced neurobiological resourcing
interventions
11. Differentiate cognitive internal conflicts from neurobiological attachment paradoxes
12. Distinguish the development of Adult Self from Co-consciousness work with Ego
States
13. Discuss working with obstacles to treatment and thorough healing
14. Review psycho-education of trauma and CRM healing processes with clients
15. Formulate home-based work relevant to between session triggers
16. Explain importance of Therapist attunement to self and client
17. Practice specific breathing exercises that provide resourcing for various needs (ie.,
pain, panic attacks, flashbacks, nightmares and racing thoughts).
18. Find eye positions for the anchoring of resources, and how to direct another to find
their own.
19. Utilize a variety of secondary resources for enhancing brain neuroplasticity and
positive neurophysiological changes (including but not limited to bilateral music,
imagery, cognitive intent, cognitive choice).
20. Practice neurobiological resourcing skills that promote trauma processing without re-
traumatizing the client
21. Apply self-care for therapists who work with severe and complex trauma
22. Summarize mapping of dissociative systems to increase co-consciousness, internal
cooperation and internal communication
23. Operationalize CRM skills in emotional memory reconsolidation of victimization,
perpetration and failed rescuer experiences
24. Utilize Ego State interventions that facilitate internal communication, cooperation,
and co-consciousness between dissociated parts of self
25. Identify the appropriate timing for facilitation of integration of dissociative states
26. Practice a full CRM resource scaffold for down-regulating emotional dysregulation
27. Practice a full CRM resource scaffold for processing traumatic memories or for
emotional memory reconsolidation
28. Operationalize the closing of sessions with brain-based safety and activation of
positive neuroplasticity
29. Utilize methods of catalyzing brain neuroplasticity to maintain the gains made in
treatment session
30. Evaluate the explicit needs of the therapist relevant to doing their own trauma and
attachment disruption work
