Hello and Welcome. I have recently relocated from Ireland to Scotland and am now commencing private practice in both Glasgow and Edinburgh. I initially trained with the comprehensive resource model in 2015 and regularly attended the clinical supervision group in Dublin. I have maintained regular training in the CRM model and in late 2018 trained in Core Self and Generational trauma in Athens again with Lisa Schwarz. I will be working on Monday mornings from the Trauma Psychotherapy Scotland Offices and by arrangement in Edinburgh. I have also trained with Frank Corrigan in Deep Brain Re-orientation. I also attend the Glasgow Supervision group with Gordon Barclay. Further details of my bio and other information and contained with the website: https:www.hendrickps.com

I work with survivors of a broad spectrum of traumatic experiences, who are ready to do the work that leads to success. For treatment of trauma-related disorders to be effective, the process must be collaborative between therapist and client and both must be invested in your success. To our mutual delight, healing work with EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Brainspotting and CRM (Comprehensive Resource Model) has helped my clients transform their lives as they heal and live in the present.

I initially trained at the University of Edinburgh in both Person Centred and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Since then, my training has included Lisa Schwarz’s CRM models of Basic Training, as well as the Advanced trainings of Core Self, Generational, and the Intensive.
I have an extensive combined experience across the mental health sector with In Care Survivors Scotland and Open Secret; in education with Place2Be; in the voluntary sector with Lifeline Pregnancy and Counselling Care, and in my private practice in Edinburgh, as well as the Borders.
Experience and Specialities
My experience in practising CRM with clients, and in receiving it for myself, is that it works. Through the super strong multiple layers of internal resourcing that you will be learning and practising, allowing access to those deep wounded parts that need to share their story and be released from looping round your ‘system’ in the way that has influenced and limited your life so far. CRM addresses all your obstacles to healing, those parts of you that fear the work, or fear what happens to them if you begin the process of healing. I believe that CRM provides you with the opportunity for working towards your highest health and potential.
If you feel it’s time for you to address your own trauma; your fears, anxiety, depression, PTSD from traumatic event(s), stress, eating disorders, addictive coping strategies, your sense of alone-ness, a feeling of disconnect with yourself and/or others, then do please be in touch.

I am a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor – Supervisor, in private practice. I specialize in trauma resolution, teens, and women’s issues. I am excited to integrate CRM into my practice. Art making is an important part of my life; I am a professional artist, exhibiting locally, statewide, in Chicago, IL, and starting in 2016, in Rome, Italy. My artwork has been reviewed in local, regional, national, and international publications.
I have been working in the high pressure environment of prisons since 1978 and as a trauma informed integrative counsellor (extra to that) since 1989. Currently I work in the South of Scotland as a therapist, this includes Edinburgh and several large towns and cities. My work has centred around many variations of trauma source, be it post incident, work related, stress and/or violence. My specialism is in supporting survivors of every kind of abuse be it experienced in adulthood or childhood.
I currently work part of my time for a specialist agency called Open Secret which is based in Central Scotland. I practice an integrative approach to counselling as well as The Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) therapy. This is to ensure that the technique I used is tailored to the individual client.
CRM is especially effective with long held post traumatic stress disorder but can also be used for any other issues. With extensive experience of life gained through working in prisons I have far more to offer than I would have if I had chosen to work solely as a therapist and there are no life experiences that I haven’t worked with. My history of employment coupled with broad training and teaching experience I can offer a rounded, well informed approach that enables me to support people most effectively. I look forward to using my experience to support people through the most important life changes they can make.
I work in South Dublin with adult individuals in private practice and also as a Consultant Trainer for the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
My core training included Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I have since become a Certified Sensorimotor Therapist and more recently have started working with the Comprehensive Resource Model which I am really enthusiastic about.
I include Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Sexual Abuse, Attachment difficulties, Bullying and Personal Development among the varied issues that client’s present with.
I am very happy to answer any questions you might have about therapy – just give me a ring.

I have a passion to assist individuals in being able to free up the stuck places that get inset with traumatic events, childhood physical and sexual abuse, abandonment and neglect and negative patterns. You learned to cope the best you could to get through what you experienced when maybe your voice wasn’t heard, when your boundaries were crossed, when you weren’t allowed feelings and there was no place to go. As time goes on, the ways you learned to cope to get through actually stop you from being able to feel, to connect with important people in your life and leave you feeling disconnected even from yourself. Being able to shift the negative beliefs that get attached to trauma to see oneself in a positive light is truly a new way of living. I desire to assist you in making the changes that can bring more satisfaction in your life.
Your life is a story of experiences that shape your thoughts, feelings, behaviors and relationships. My passion is to walk along side of you and share in your story to tap into your own internal, self healing capabilities to create the change you are looking for. I build on your strengths and add additional resources to build a solid foundation to support and guide your work. I can help adults who experienced trauma or loss, feeling stuck, anxiety, depression, anger or have relationship struggles.
I have 13+ years working with adults who have experienced childhood and/or adulthood sexual abuse/assault. I use specific techniques (i.e. EMDR, Brainspotting and Comprehensive Resource Model) that integrate the mind and the body to alleviate symptoms and create healing at a deeper, neurobiological level than traditional talk therapy. These techniques get to the root of the issue to produce lasting results.
It will be a privilege to work with you and be a witness to your story.
I specialize in working with couples and survivors of trauma. I have worked with trauma survivors throughout my work as a therapist and am continually humbled by the tragedies folks can heal from. As a trained CRM clinician, I have seen the transformative impact it can have on healing individuals and couples dealing with PTSD and trauma. And how healing those old wound can bring loved ones closer together.
