I am a California licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 11684) since 1990.  I have a private practice in psychotherapy, consultation and training.  I work with individuals (children, teen and adults), couples, and families.  I have a special interest and expertise in working with anxiety, depression, relational trauma, learning and developmental differences, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger’s Disorder.  I have a special interest and expertise in working with shame and pride in psychotherapy, and have written several articles and done podcasts on this topic.  I am currently working on a book entitled “Pride, Shame and Relational Trauma: Toward an Integrative Approach to Psychotherapy”.  In addition to CRM, I work to integrate a variety of approaches I have had training in over the years.  The approaches I call from these days include CRM, Coherence Therapy, Psychodynamic, Experiential, DNMS, AEDP, EMDR, and Narrative/Solution Focused Therapy.  Humor is an essential aspect of who I am, and I naturally bring it into our work so that the serious work of psychotherapy is not only serious.

Biography

I am a craniosacral therapist and HHP with certification and training in both Biodynamic/Upledger CranioSacral therapy, and in EFT, CRM, BSP, nutrition, energy work, self-regulation, SPD strategies, Creative Learning and trauma resolution. I hold a CA teaching credential and Masters degree.

I so enjoy what I do and am always excited about working with people who are open to making changes and who want to be empowered in their Health and their lives. The training in BSP was helpful in reaching these goals.

Now CRM is even more powerful as a system to empower my clients. I have over forty years of consulting, research, and teaching that includes college, secondary, and alternative health. In past years, I’ve been an Art, ESL, Speech instructor, Reiki teacher, communications consultant, professional artist and Theater director in community college and secondary school. Integrated with this experience is my early and current training in energy work, learning from pioneers in the field in the early eighties to those in the present.

I’ve studied with Lisa Schwarz, Peter Levine, Stephen Porges, Robert Scaer, and others. With my own ongoing research, I continually learn new and exciting techniques in several schools of craniosacral training, brain curriculum, and quantum energy work as well.

Kelli Sherine Fisher LMFT

Kelli received her MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. Her clinical orientation is Attachment Theory and Positive Psychology with an emphasis on Narrative Theory.  Post graduation, she began working in the field of addiction plus mental illness. Upon realizing the level of trauma beneath both challenges, she began focusing on Somatic Therapy to help gently address the suffering she was witnessing. This focus now informs her practice and the results are amazing.

She is currently using as her main trauma processing modality, Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM). CRM is the cutting edge in trauma therapy. It is an advanced technique that incorporates many somatic/ spiritual / neurophysiological modalities into one discipline. She is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) through Peter Levine’s Foundation for Human Enrichment and she holds level 1 & 2 EMDR training through Laura Parnell’s attachment based EMDR Institute.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Kelli was an Orthopedic Massage Therapist with a BS in Sports Medicine/ Exercise Science. She continues to practice this healing art celebrating 30+ years. This interest in life science continues in Kelli’s studies in Neuroscience and her fascination with Somatic Therapies’ ability to resolve trauma and change neurobiology.

Kelli has also spent 30yrs. studying indigenous cultures and spirituality and these studies inform her practice as well. She has a deep respect for nature and she integrates native practices into her work in a very organic and supportive way.

She is also an accomplished textile artist so she also understands the challenges of going into the void and creating beauty. And in her spare time, she is a marmalade & jam maker, jewelry designer and gardener.
