Mental Health Nurse working in NHS since 1991. Full-time psychotherapist within a Psychological Therapies Service & then Complex Psychological Interventions since 2002. Accreditations in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (2005) & Eye movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (2009). I have completed CRM Basic & Core Self trainings, Working with DID & Severe Dissociation & a CRM Intensive, all with Lisa Schwarz.

Biography:

I am offering Counselling & Psychotherapy, Reiki & Shamanic Healing sessions for Young People from age 11 and Adults. I have a special interest and experience in working with clients who have experienced trauma, abuse or violence in their lives. This may include growing up with a difficult or disrupted early attachment, leading to childhood neglect as unmothered children and resulting in complex trauma that comes from a variety of sources I believe very much in the somatic counselling/psychotherapy approach and really enjoy my work as an integrative mind-body-spirit therapist. I have been working with people in a professional role for over 35 years and as an experienced trained Counsellor/Psychotherapist and energy worker since 2003, working across the age ranges and with a huge variety of clients and issues, in many different settings. My Counselling/Psychotherapy training allows me a very good understanding of the physiological effects of trauma and unresolved emotional issues and how to work with those at a body (somatic) level. My Reiki and Shamanic training allows me to have other tools with which to work with these issues if you so choose, including relaxing and restoring balance in our energy centres. I offer both short and long term work. I have professional indemnity insurance which allows me to practice therapy from Perth/Glasgow/Edinburgh. I completed CRM basic training three years ago, CRM Advanced Core Self & Case Conceptualization and Treatment of DID training followed.  I now use CRM in my daily practice. I use CRM continuously and the results are amazing, client feedback and evaluation praise the CRM journey and the clients speak of the positive changes in their way of being and doing in their world. I attend regular CRM supervision to keep up with the developments and expansion of the model as it grows and expands.
